What we do

ndependent living at The Haven at Elgin is ideal for adults who are able to manage their own personal care and daily routines but enjoy the comfort, structure, and peace of mind of a supportive home environment. Residents live independently while we provide meals, housekeeping, laundry, social activities, and general oversight—allowing them to maintain autonomy while feeling safe and supported.

To Live Here, Residents Should Be Able To:

Residents are expected to be generally independent and able to care for themselves on a day-to-day basis, including:

 

  • Bathe, dress, and groom themselves

  • Move about the home safely

  • Manage their own medications

  • Communicate their needs

  • Make personal decisions regarding daily routines
